Charms Lessons

Ashleigh Alioto; otherwise known as Madame Alioto walked into her new classroom, setting down a copy of witch's weekly on the oak wood desk.

"Okay class, today we will be learning about what charms are. In order to use charms safely, one must learn and understand charms. A charm gone wrong can result in very bad things. Such as death." She says, eyeing the Slytherin boys who wern't paying attention.

"Please turn to page 24 in your textbook." She continues with a strong voice.

She walked to another spot around the class. "So, you're probably asking, what exactly is a charm then? A charm is one of the seven possible spell types." She pauses, letting her students take notes.

"Charms come from transfigurations, that is why you will be seeing some similarities if any of you study transfigurations." She says as she demonstrates the hover charm, causing an extra quill of a Gryffindor girl to float and land in her hand.

"Casting a longer lasting charm is called 'bewitching'" She says again while strolling around, and looking at her students take notes.

When everyone was done, she bewitched the quill and it floated in one spot.
She began to talk about the elementals of the art of Charms until she looked at her watch and realized it was 4 minutes before lunch.
"There will be homework after each class. Please hand it (by owl) to me one day prior to the due date. I'm giving you 2 weeks to finish this. It's due on January 23th." She says passing the homework sheets out.
